Couples Therapy
Through Couples Therapy Tegan helps her clients improve romantic relationships & resolve interpersonal conflicts. Therapy often includes sessions designed to improve problem solving, build communication skills, connect more intimately & identify life goals & relationship responsibilities. This type of therapy can also help couples decide whether or not they should continue staying together, Tegan can assist with the repair or deconstruction of relationships & refers to this as ‘Coupling’ & ‘Uncoupling’. Depending on the level of distress in the relationship, therapy can be short term (6-8 sessions) or long term (12-20+ sessions). Believing that all of our relationships are influenced by the core connection we have with ourselves, Tegan works with each partner on an individual basis first; this helps her to gain an understanding of who you are on an individual level, so that she can be a support for each of you during couples therapy. To help demystify the process, Tegan has outlined some common issues that indicate that a couple could potentially benefit from Couples Therapy:
